A girl lives on Hayling Close in Frankley, she wonders where Hayling Island really is, she dreams about a blue sea, clear sky, a new bedroom all to herself and peace from her noisy brothers. She decides to runaway. Here is the story of the street party we staged to name an imaginary street after Wendy Scattergood. We had a great time and even the Queen came to visit us. We noticed that many of the streets were named after people from the Royal Family and started to think about who we would like to name a street after. We chose Wendy Scattergood - who’s the nan of one of the boys in year five. Please listen to a song we’ve worked on for part of the podcast and then tell us if you’ve know anyone like Mrs Scattergood who you could name a street after. This our very rough first edit of the story of the Beast of Frankley Beeches. What we have done is taken some of the material we recorded when we visited the beeches and put it in order to make a story. Next we need to write some script which will help the story work for the listeners, record that, add it to the edit then work out all the different sound levels and think about how we can use sound effects to improve what you hear. |
